The 7th Presidential International Yacht Races, Çanakkale Cup and Coast Guard Cup races will be held on April 23-25, 2026.
In the ORC, Sportsboat, IRC, and Cruiser classes:
The top three teams in each division in the April 23 Istanbul Strait stage will receive the National Sovereignty Cup award,
The top three teams in each division in the April 23-24 Istanbul – Çanakkale Coast Guard Cup will receive the Coast Guard Line Honours award,
The top three teams in each division based on the overall results of the 3 races, and the top three teams in the Women’s Sailing/University Sailing Team special categories, will receive the Çanakkale Cup award.
The Çanakkale Cup consists of a total of 3 races: 1 Istanbul Strait race, 1 Istanbul – Çanakkale Coast Guard Cup open sea race, and 1 Çanakkale Strait race. The awards ceremony for the special race to be held in the Istanbul Strait on April 23rd, National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, will be held at a later date. Following the April 23rd, 2026 Strait race, the Istanbul-Çanakkale Offshore Race and the Çanakkale Strait Race will take place on April 25th. Teams that complete this series of three races will receive their awards at a special ceremony in Çanakkale on April 25th, 2026.
The team that finishes first in its class in the Istanbul-Çanakkale Coast Guard Cup Offshore Race will receive the Coast Guard Cup Line Honours award, and the team with the best corrected time in the Offshore Race will also be awarded.
Teams that win awards in the race to be held in the Istanbul Strait on April 23rd, 2026, will receive the National Sovereignty Cup, determined according to the results of the Strait stage, at an awards ceremony to be held in Istanbul at a later date.
Races will be held under the ORC, IRC, Sportsboat, and Cruiser classes (the Sportsboat class will not be open for offshore races). The categories open to races will be announced in the race notice. As a prerequisite for participation, registered teams must submit a receipt for a donation of at least 5,000 TL to any NGO. Teams that pre-register will be able to benefit from special advantages.
