May 17-19, 2026 – Liberation Cup
The Liberation Cup consists of one Bosphorus race for all classes, three buoy races for ORC, IRC, and Sportsboat classes, and one geographical islands race for cruising classes. The Bosphorus race is scheduled for May 19, 2026, and the following races are planned for May 17, 2026: one geographical islands course for the cruising class and three buoy races for ORC, IRC, and Sportsboat classes.
In the ORC, IRC, Sportsboat, and Cruising classes, the top three teams in each division based on overall points from the races, and the top three teams in the Women’s Sailing/University Sailing Team special categories, will receive the Liberation Cup.
Races will be held under the ORC, IRC, Sportsboat, and Cruising classes. The categories open to races will be announced in the race notice. As a prerequisite for participation in the races, registered teams must obtain approval from the offshore race technical committee and present a receipt for a donation of at least 5,000 TL to any NGO. Teams that pre-register for the races will be able to benefit from special advantages.
