May 14th – 19th, 2025 – Independence Cup Offshore Race<\/h4>\n

The Kurtulu\u015f Cup consists of two races: one offshore race from Istanbul to Samsun and one Istanbul Bosphorus race. The Istanbul \u2013 Samsun offshore race will start on May 14, 2025, while the Istanbul Bosphorus race will commence on May 19, 2025.<\/p>\n

The Istanbul \u2013 Samsun offshore race will begin on May 14, 2025, from Anadolu Feneri, where the Bosphorus connects to the Black Sea. The Kurtulu\u015f Cup Bosphorus leg will start on May 19, 2025, off the shores of Dolmabah\u00e7e Palace.<\/p>\n

Teams that do not participate in the offshore race can still compete in the Bosphorus leg and be eligible for awards. The offshore race awards will be presented in Samsun on May 19, 2025, while the Bosphorus leg award ceremony will take place in Istanbul on June 15, 2025.<\/p>\n

The finish of the Istanbul \u2013 Samsun offshore race will be taken at the finish line to be set up off Samsun Port.<\/p>\n

The top three teams in the ORC A-B-C and Cruiser classes will be awarded at the award ceremony to be held in Samsun on June 15, 2025. According to the results of the ORC general classification, the winning team will be crowned the Independence Cup Champion.<\/p>\n

The races will be held under ORC and Explorer classes. The categories in which the races are open will be announced in the race announcement. As a prerequisite for participation in the races, pre-registering teams must obtain the approval of the offshore race technical committee and submit a receipt for a donation of at least 5,000 TL to any NGO. Teams who pre-register for the races will be able to benefit from special advantages.
