{"id":28203,"date":"2025-09-01T19:38:20","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T16:38:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sailturkiye.racing\/events\/2026-canakkale-victory-cup\/"},"modified":"2026-03-25T14:28:02","modified_gmt":"2026-03-25T11:28:02","slug":"2026-canakkale-kupasi","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/sailturkiye.racing\/en\/events\/2026-canakkale-kupasi\/","title":{"rendered":"2026 \u00c7anakkale Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">7th Presidential International Yacht Races <\/span><\/h6>\n<h4>23-25 \u200b\u200bApril 2026 &#8211; \u00c7anakkale Cup avd Coast Guard Offshore Race<\/h4>\n<p>The 7th Presidential International Yacht Races, \u00c7anakkale Cup and Coast Guard Cup races will be held on April 23-25, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>In the ORC, Sportsboat, IRC, and Cruiser classes:<br \/>\nThe top three teams in each division in the April 23 Istanbul Strait stage will receive the National Sovereignty Cup award,<br \/>\nThe top three teams in each division in the April 23-24 Istanbul &#8211; \u00c7anakkale Coast Guard Cup will receive the Coast Guard Line Honours award,<br \/>\nThe top three teams in each division based on the overall results of the 3 races, and the top three teams in the Women&#8217;s Sailing\/University Sailing Team special categories, will receive the \u00c7anakkale Cup award.<\/p>\n<p>The \u00c7anakkale Cup consists of a total of 3 races: 1 Istanbul Strait race, 1 Istanbul &#8211; \u00c7anakkale Coast Guard Cup open sea race, and 1 \u00c7anakkale Strait race. The awards ceremony for the special race to be held in the Istanbul Strait on April 23rd, National Sovereignty and Children&#8217;s Day, will be held at a later date. Following the April 23rd, 2026 Strait race, the Istanbul-\u00c7anakkale Offshore Race and the \u00c7anakkale Strait Race will take place on April 25th. Teams that complete this series of three races will receive their awards at a special ceremony in \u00c7anakkale on April 25th, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The team that finishes first in its class in the Istanbul-\u00c7anakkale Coast Guard Cup Offshore Race will receive the Coast Guard Cup Line Honours award, and the team with the best corrected time in the Offshore Race will also be awarded.<\/p>\n<p>Teams that win awards in the race to be held in the Istanbul Strait on April 23rd, 2026, will receive the National Sovereignty Cup, determined according to the results of the Strait stage, at an awards ceremony to be held in Istanbul at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>Races will be held under the ORC, IRC, Sportsboat, and Cruiser classes (the Sportsboat class will not be open for offshore races). The categories open to races will be announced in the race notice. As a prerequisite for participation, registered teams must submit a receipt for a donation of at least 5,000 TL to any NGO. Teams that pre-register will be able to benefit from special advantages.
